How to select the fused zirconia corundum bricks for the glass melting furnace

Apr 11,2018

In recent years, with the digestion and absorption of imported technologies, the technical progress of kiln furnaces has continuously improved the quality requirements of tilt-casting fused zirconia corundum bricks, and the usage has been continuously expanded. As a manufacturing factory, the production technology of inclined cast bricks has been updated and improved, resulting in a relatively high quality of products and basically reaching the level of international advanced similar products. The new process highlights the characteristics of tilted cast bricks. After strict optimization of the tilt angle, strict quality control, so that the shrinkage distribution of the product is very reasonable.
The demand of non-shrink fused cast zirconia corundum bricks in the market has increased in recent years, exception that the 41# fused zirconia corundum bricks are almost completely without of shrinkage casting, and the oxidizing 33# without shrinkage fused zirconia corundum bricks demands are also increased. The production cost of this product is high and the production process is more complicated, so the selling price of the product is higher. In recent years, there have also been glass melting furnaces using dense-end cast bricks in the country. This product is mostly used in the wall of the pool. From the point of view of the manufacture of electric-melt bricks, the process is simpler than that without shrinkage, and the manufacturing cost is also low. Relatively low, the sale price is certainly a certain difference, and the use of performance in the pool wall is almost no difference with the casting brick without shrinkage.
The basic principles for the rational selection of fused zirconia corundum bricks for the above casting methods are:
(1) The wall bricks in contact with the glass melt are oxidized with a 33 # tilted cast zirconia corundum brick. This choice is technically and economically. If you consider the need for state-of-the-art bricks at the end of the furnace, making slight changes to the bricks is even more secure. Of course, the choice of such pool wall bricks compared with the traditional bottom-up multi-layered brick wall, although the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, there may be the problem of neglecting each other. Therefore, there are many furnace kiln designers still accustomed to the traditional pool wall structure. It should be pointed out that the selection of 20mm thick 44# without-shrinkable AZS bricks in the upper pool wall is the best choice, while the lower part can lower the pool in sequence. The quality of the bricks. It is worth noting that the selection of multiple types of pool wall bricks should pay attention to the difference in the grades of adjacent electric brick bricks should not be too large. Because from the point of view of the production of various types of refractory materials, the difference in the physical and chemical indicators, mineral composition, and service performance of high and low grade materials is very large, and the adjacent use is technically and economically unreasonable.
(2) Almost all of the upper structure of the melting furnace can be normally cast fused zirconia corundum bricks, and its function is fully enough.
(3) For the furnace with kiln bottom insulation, the kiln floor surface is the most suitable choice of 75mm thick oxidation process 33# without-shrinkage AZS bricks. The construction is used in conjunction with zirconium corundum cement.
(4) Stove side walls, flat borings and inclined rakes are generally made of common casting reduction method 33 # zirconia corundum bricks, and the bottom can also use 33 # zirconia corundum brick without shrinkage or dense casting.
(5) The wall of the clarification department is preferably made of ordinary cast α-β alumina bricks, and the kiln base is preferably made of α-β alumina bricks without shrinkage casting. This kind of furnace is of higher cost and can also be used. Oxidation method 33 # AZS brick instead.
