Refractory Bricks

Standard of high alumina refractory bricks

Aug 04,2016
High Alumina Brick, that is Al2O3 more than 48% silicate pot firebrick  products, used corundum, bauxite or sillimanite minerals as raw  materials made of bricks collectively referred to as high-alumina  refractory brick. Such as Al2O3 content of 90% senior cadres, called  corundum bricks. Due to the different resources, national standards  are not entirely consistent. European predetermined high-alumina  refractory brick  min. Al2O3 content is 42%. China Press alumina  bricks generally divided into three classes: Grade 1:Al2O3 content>  75%; Grade 2: Al2O3 content 60 ~ 75%; Grade 3:Al2O3 content 48 ~  60%.
Bauxite used rotary kiln or shaft kiln to calcine, sintering temperature  1500 ~ 1700 ℃, well-sintered bauxite, water absorption generally at 4 -7%.
High alumina brick is similar as clinker brick and multi-process  production process, the difference is the higher proportion of the  ingredients in the clinker, up to 90 to 95%. clinker required before  crushing and sieving classification chosen in addition to iron, the firing  temperature is higher, such as ⅰ, ⅱ high alumina brick used tunnel  kiln firing is generally 1500 ~ 1600 ℃.
High alumina brick, refractoriness is higher, resistance of acid, strong  alkaline slag erosion is strong, high temperature mechanical strength. It  is commonly used in place of high-quality clay brick and silica brick, it  will improve the life of the furnace. Currently, it is mainly used as  lining for masonry blast furnace, hot stove, electric stove top, blast  furnace, reverberatory furnace, rotary kiln,  glass melting furnace  regenerators semicircular wall, Wind & Fire and sulfur. In addition,  high alumina brick is also widely used as an open-hearth regenerator  checker bricks, pouring system with plug, nozzle brick, etc., but the  price of alumina brick in higher than clay brick, so using clay brick  can meet the requirements.
