Refractory Bricks

lattice refractory materials for glass kiln

Jul 05,2018

The glass kiln lattice body is at a high temperature load, the dust is large, and the alkali vapor is used, and the degree of erosion is serious, and the selection of the refractory material is harsh.
The blockage and collapse of the lattice body is often the main reason for the cold repair of the glass kiln. Therefore, the lattice refractory material is required to have high mechanical strength, low creep rate, and strong resistance to temperature and atmosphere changes and erosion. Adhering to dust, the damage will be slower.
The upper part of the lattice body: the temperature here can reach 1100-1400 degrees, generally using electrofusion 95 and then combining the magnesium brick.
The middle of the grid: the temperature is 80--1100 degrees. In this temperature range, the alkali metal sulfate will condense, the lattice will be attacked by SO3 and Na2O and produce a chemical reaction. With the serious contribution of brick expansion, the direct combination of magnesium is selected. Chrome brick, magnesium aluminum spinel brick, magnesium zirconium brick.
The lower part of the lattice body: the temperature is low, the load is heavy, and the erosion is relatively small. However, due to the proximity to the flue, it is directly affected by the cold air, and the required rapid cooling and rapid heat resistance is required. Therefore, low-porosity clay bricks are selected.
